I can't remember what I said in my last post....but I wanted to give the WHOLE story for those that might be a little confused....so, here goes:

This coming Friday, Feb. 9 Bo is supposed to be circumcised. He wasn’t able to be circumcised at birth and once you miss that 48hr window you have to wait until they are old enough to handle anesthesia…which is 6mos. So in Sept. we went in to 1 of 2 pediatric urologists in Tulsa. And his first available appt was Jan. 19!!! Can you believe it? So we have been waiting and waiting and waiting. Apparently good ole Dr. Miller is also committed to our country and is in the naval reserves, so he was called to duty for two weeks and Bo’s surgery was postponed to Feb. 9. The older Bo gets the more mobile and the harder this will be on him….but the slight delay was really just a nuisance. Then there is this whole sickness thing that just came along. Dr. Miller has NO openings in his schedule to Re-schedule Bo until after May. This is heart breaking to his mommy, who knows the pain, his awareness etc. are just going to get worse. And he will be walking by then too. I want this OVER with.

So, that leads me to this plea for PRAYER…all we need is a clean x-ray on Wed. and we can proceed. He can take whatever meds he needs to b/t now and Friday to get well (except the Advil and Motrin, which is no big deal, he hasn’t been in any pain). So, little Bowman needs prayer (and his parents too) that he can just be free of all this gunk and we can go forward Friday with his surgery!!!!

On Wed. Feb. 7, at 9:45am Bo will have his chest xray, we will then go to our 10:45am appt. with the pediatrician, who will say it looks good, or it doesn't. From there, we will consult with the Urologist and either go forward with the surgery or reschedule. This IS an elective surgery, so we don't want to put Bo under any unnecessary stress or danger, at the same time, the longer we wait the harder it will be on him. We just need peace and patience and let God do His thing.

Our weekend was good, there have been some moments of "silent screams", i.e. when Bo broke out into hives b/c he is allergic to his antibiotic. But, all in all we are good.

We will keep you posted.
Hugs!
