Anna and Daddy in the Hotel Pool

Bo loves to look at moving things! He was 1month old on Wednesday!
I think the song is Monday, Monday, but same difference - anyhow, we are in Arkansas, at "Home" for our less than 48hr power clean fest. Our short stays here will consist of yardwork and making sure the house isn't too dusty, with a sigh I can say that in a week or so, Tulsa will feel more like home, as we will be there M-F. We visited our temporary living quarters last week and they are going to be very nice. Hopefully the pool will entice friends to come see us!!!
We looked at 40+houses and on Friday after say 42 of them, we found 3 we really liked. We have been humming and haaaing over them the last day or so and think we will make an offer tomorrow on 1 of them. It is with a wish and a BIG prayer we make the offer. We are taking a gamble that this house will sell and close before we close in Tulsa or right around then. If not, we will be stuck with 2 mortgages. Technically you get that 1 month no payment, so we just need this house to be closed by the end of August. God will see us through right?
Our "new" house is in Jenks...at 141st b/t Harvard and Lewis (for those of you familiar with the area). We are actually in Bixby school district. Yes, this is SUPER close to my friend Sarah who is at 120th!! The house is the perfect mix of what Jake and I were both wanting. It does need a little cosmetic stuff, nothing like this house needed. And of course we are so TIRED of remodeling a lot of the cosmetic stuff will just remain semi-dated for awhile, so we can just "be". We will take pics on Monday when we go through it again and post them. Oh! And it is about 2miles from Jake's office.
Our kids did FANTASTIC last week. They were in the car for way too long every day. We were tired and sick of it, imagine how they felt. Anna was a true champ. No naps, less than her 12hrs sleep everynight, sleeping with her baby brother at her head (moaning and groaning) and she pulled through. I can't even tell you how blessed we are with both of their natures. SOOOO laid back. Mind you it was difficult and tiring etc. etc. but knowing what it could have been, we are greatful.
Our biggest prayers are just for the housing situation, that this one would sell, that the deal goes through on the new one and that our temp. housing and coming back here on the weekends works okay with the kiddos. Anna is going to be the most flexible child. Her life has been so crazy literally since she was born. It is our greatest challenge to keep her feeling secure as we enter state #3, house #4 all in her short 26month life! She misses her Wilson the most. She asks about him daily and hopefully this week we can get to Carrie's house where he is staying and take him for a long walk!
Anyhow....
1. My kids, they are such a joy, even in the trying moments of life, they keep me grounded and "put together".
2. My husband for all of his help, in every aspect of our life. Our realtor was shocked when he went to the car, got the diaper bag and then changed Bo's diaper.
3. My inlaws for calling to check on us, bringing us dinner AGAIN (this is like the 6th time in a month), and just the support.
4. My parents for being just a phone call away and keeping us thinking smart.
5. Coming "home" and having MY bed to sleep in and Bo sleeping for a 5hr stretch last night and then a 4hr stretch.
6. Air conditioning
7. Time to get through our mail, log our expenses, balance the checkbook etc. So far we are making progress, next we have to pack.
8. In reference to above, Anna taking a nap today, first time in a week. She only got out of bed twice - it is so hard to keep this girl in routine with our crazy life.
9. TIVO - getting up with Bo and having NOTHING to watch all last week was a bummer.
10. Not having to be without Jake for the foreseeable future.
